Nestled in the cozy downtown area of historic Flowery Branch, Whole Being Cafe is a down home, warm, and cozy coffee and smoothie shop where we won’t just serve you great food, we’ll get to know you!Â
Take a break from all your worries and woes of the day and enjoy a sandwich with a cup of warm deliciousness at the friendliest place in town. We have a robust menu of familiar favorites as well options for those following a more restrictive diet.
So I have never been there but was looking for a spot to pull out my laptop and work for an hour or so. I was pretty impressed by smiling helpful really nice people! They gave me the lowdown, I ordered my coffee and a breakfast sandwich and They brought it upstairs to me. The whole place was really relaxing and quiet. I over heard some guys discussing the Bible, then I started realizing I was listening to religious music too. I don't go to church anymore but I have my faith. I believe it meant to be that I found that place. I was feeling stressed and irritated with work and when I left I was at ease. Everything was right as rain. I'll definitely go back and I recommend this place highly.
I wasn't sure if I should post the review here for Whole Being Cafe or under Common Grounds Coffee Shop (the previous name). I noticed there are recent reviews for Common Grounds but the posting all refer to Whole Being Cafe. Enough about that because obviously I'm posting here. I have become a "regular" at Whole Being over the past several months, but like everybody else had to take a break for a couple of months because of COVID-19. I'm glad to report that Whole Being is back open and the excellent coffee, food, and service is back too. The cafe looks tiny from the outside. but the coffee shop/cafe is actually quite large when you consider it's seating is on 2 stories. The decor is rustic with a variety of seating options from traditional restaurant tables to a relaxed sofa coffee table setting. I usually go in the mornings so my food review is going to be limited to the breakfast menu. The coffee as I stated is excellent and I always get the refillable cub and spend an hour or two relaxing and visiting with friends. My favorite menu item is the "build your own" breakfast sandwich. You chose how you want it - bread, meat, egg/or not, cheese - then take a seat and your food is delivered shortly. I go with the crescent and it makes a huge sandwich and very yummy meal. One of these days I'll expand my horizons and try out the lunch items. Meanwhile, I suggest you give this place a try. You will not be disappointed.
Whole Being Cafe is a "must go to" when in Flowery Branch. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing. Coffee and smoothie selections are plentiful. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Did I mention the food? Breakfast and lunch is yum-o!
Whole Being is one of my favorite coffee shops. Highly recommend their lattes, avocado toast, and breakfast burritos. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff so friendly. Looking forward to my next visit.
Customer service is so friendly and attentive! The maple vanilla chai nitro is to die for! Such a great local place! Will be back!
Very cute place. We had the Turkey and Jack sandwich and Chicken salad croissant. Latte with lavender and vanilla YUM!
This is a spot I will come back to. I enjoy walking at Cherokee Bluffs Park, which is a short drive away, and when I searched Yelp for coffee this place came up. I'm so glad. The vibe is warm and friendly without being too in your face. In fact, for anything this place is possibly lacking, it would easily make up for in ambiance. Lighting is dim but still such that you could work by it if you so chose. Indeed, I spotted two people on laptops, one downstairs and one upstairs. Speaking of upstairs, it had a great loft feel complete with small tables and chairs and sofa seating. I had a double espresso up there along with a heated cinnamon roll. Not only was it brought upstairs to me but get this -- the espresso was served in an actual cup. I don't mean styrofoam; I mean a quaint ceramic cup with a handle. Outside of places overseas, I can't remember the last time I got to drink espresso from a real cup in a coffee shop. To me, this says a lot about the care and pride they take in their business. Pastry is not quite on par with what you'd get from a bakery cafe but it's far and away superior to what you'd get served at a chain establishment. A couple other reviews mentioned the music that plays. Contemporary Christian is not my cup of tea the same way tv playing in a business (this place thankfully did not have tv) is not something I care for. That said, the music was quiet and minimally obtrusive. One reviewer mentioned overhearing others talking about the Bible. I overheard an attorney and clients discussing a non-disclosure agreement. I bring this up only to point out the shop caters to a variety of clientele. Good customer service is good customer service. I live in Lawrenceville but will make a point to come back here and possibly bring others with me. My kid is vegan and I noted they offered a non-dairy parfait along with some other vegan stuff. The clerk was quick to point out the parfait was made with almond milk which I appreciated since my wife is allergic, knowledgeable staff being a rare find these days. All in all, this place is what other coffee shops should be.
Such a cute coffee shop with a very friendly staff! They have great vegan protein smoothies and some other vegan and gluten free options. Our daughter had a gluten free bagel with sausage and cheese and loved it. We will be back often.
Great coffee shop with a local family owned touch. Food selections are great and they even accommodate my wife who is allergic to gluten. They have a large upstairs area perfectly suited for students to chill and study with outlets for computer s. Business
Fantastic all around. Great service, great food, clean, team was super friendly. Our favorite was the hash brown bake. Delicious. We had way too much food, including the Kevin Bacon (Saturday only), which we thoroughly enjoy. Nothing bad to say at all. The kind of place that you have to say goodbye to the whole staff because of how friendly they are. Not sure that I'll be back to this town, but if I am, I'll be back here.
Been going here since I was a kid and still my favorite coffee shop in the world. Great coffee, great food and love the environment. Go once and you'll be hooked.
Awesome coffee. I have trust issues when it comes to coffee and I ALMOST didn't order it when picking up a smoothie for a friend. But I'm glad I did. I got the "just help me". Everyone was very nice and all of the customers seemed to be having a great time.
Excellent cup of coffee and had a delicious Asiago bagel with egg. Great friendly environment and the staff gave excellent service with a smile. Highly recommend for breakfast or lunch.
What a great place and experience. The owners of this hidden gem were so welcoming and pleasant. A very warm and homely atmosphere. The food was uniquely delicious. Any coffee you could imagine. I would highly recommend Whole Being Cafe to anyone looking for coffee, food, or a genuinely great experience. **Tip o the day** Saturdays ask for Kevin's Bacon!
Delicious coffee, different nitro flavors on tap, lots of gluten free food options, a kind staff, and cute atmosphere! Can definitely see myself coming back with a book or laptop to hang out.
Great coffee choices, I had the Chicken Salad Club & Brian Had the Shepard pie. Devine!!! I could only eat half of my club sandwich. Gail & Kevin were fun to meet. The whole crew were great. We'll be back for sure.
This is only the third time in 10 years I have given a 5 star review. This local coffee house and restaurant is where thinking adults converge. Their staff is courteous and professional. A great place for the Flowery Branch community to meet.
Best avocado toast ever!! And coffee of every kind and flavor. Definitely recommend this place 1000%. We will be back. Everyone is super nice and welcoming:)
Right in the historic Flowery Branch area sits this unexpected yet superior cafe! As you enter Whole Being Cafe, you are immediately confident that your food and coffee are going to be great! Smiling faces and the smell of a hearty breakfast greet you as you walk inside. You can get a hot meal, coffee, or if your taste are different, even a Phoenix Roaster Nitro brew. Which by the way is the best Nitro Brew you will EVER HAVE! So you know Whole Being Cafe is about quality. On top of all they they allow each purchase to be rounded up to the nearest dollar to help cover the cost of meals for those in need around the area. Definitely a local shop concerned with helping the community! Make sure you stop by.
A quaint little coffee shop for the healthy side of life! They have fresh baked goodies from local bakeries, tonics, smoothies, and much more! I had the tonic and it didn't taste half bad and it even felt great to my body after a long week of not so healthy eating for the fourth of July. We will have to visit again when we're in town. The bacon, egg, avocado toast was especially good and fresh!
Great little coffee shop!! I love the environment, it feels really homey. And the staff is super friendly! Got their "Just Help Me" coffee drink which is a cold brew with espresso and added some oat milk and smores syrup. Absolutely amazing! Can't wait to come back and try other items on the menu!
